Historical Context
Henry and William both join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Their parents James and Elizabeth were disowned from the Quaker faith. Although they were still welcome to meetings, they were removed from the community.
Henry is found in Nauvoo, Illinois and St. Louis. He marries Amanda Ann Braddock who passed away while caring for other in the exodus from Nauvoo. He then met and married Ann Blackwood Morgan, from his parents hometown in Haddonfield.
Ann and Henry travel west with the Saints settling first in Provo and then in Southern Utah at various settlements along the Virgin River.
Henry would learned the language of the indigenous people, served them, educated the children and ran a cattle ranch and farm. He died young at the relative young age of 64.
